Description
Fellside, South View, and Hillcrest are three houses built together in the early 19th century, constructed from hammer-dressed stone. The buildings are two storeys high and feature a total of six first-floor windows: one for Fellside, three for South View, and two for Hillcrest.
Fellside has a 20th-century glazed door set in a doorcase with square-section pilasters and a plain entablature. South View features a six-panel door, with the upper two panels glazed, in a doorcase supported by square-section pilasters and topped with an open pediment. Hillcrest has a board door in a doorcase with square-section pilasters and a plain entablature. All three houses have plate glass sashes beneath stone lintels. South View is distinguished by a cyma cornice, and the buildings have gable coping. Hillcrest has a hipped roof and both end and ridge stacks. The houses are included for their group value.
