Description

Dale Farmhouse, cottage, farm buildings, and coach house form a single structure, with the farmhouse dated 1691 and the other buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries. The buildings are made of rubble with stone slate roofs and are two storeys high, featuring six openings on the first floor.

The farmhouse has a central four-panel part-glazed door set in an ashlar surround, which has a moulded arris and the inscription "EHB 1691" on the lintel, accompanied by decorative motifs. On either side of the door, there are two bays of four-pane sash windows on each floor, and stone gutter brackets are present. The end stacks are located at either end, with the right stack corniced.

To the left of the farmhouse is the cottage, which has a door beneath a slab lintel and one bay of 16-pane sash windows, also with slab sills and lintels. There is a stack at the left end of the cottage. Further left, the coach house projects forward and features board doors beneath a segmental arch made of rubble voussoirs, topped with a hoodmould. To the right of the coach house are the farm buildings, which have quoins on the right side, a blocked semicircular arch of rubble voussoirs with a hoodmould, steps leading to a first-floor board door, and stone gutter brackets.
