Description
Nappa House is a mill house that has been converted into a residential home, dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof and has two storeys and five bays. The building features a boulder plinth and quoins on the right side. The central entrance has a part-glazed four-panel door set in an architrave on plinths, with a basket-arched soffit, pulvinated frieze, and cornice. The windows are sash style with glazing bars. There are chimney stacks at both ends of the building and between the third and fourth bays.
Inside, to the left of the door, there are stop-chamfered beams on the first floor, while to the right, there are doors with six fielded panels and panelled linings. In the 1830s, Nappa House was the home of Reverend John Winn, who was the vicar of Aysgarth.
