FRITTON & ST. OLAVES BECCLES ROAD (north side) Garden walls to The Priory

G.V. II

Garden walls, the north range of which forms part of Priory complex dating from early C13. Main work C16 and substantially altered and repaired each century since. Brick and flint. North range with occasional slit lights, lined with ashlar. Upper courses of early C18 brick. West of immediate Priory complex wall becomes progressively later in construction. East range of C16 origins, now largely C18. Stepped buttresses at intervals and set-offs to rounded coping stones.
