Description

Two garden walls located 30 yards north of The Priory date from the late 17th century or early 18th century. They are constructed of red brick in English bond and stand over 7 feet high. The walls are symmetrically positioned to frame the approach to The Priory, featuring inner end piers. Each pier is topped with a stone cornice, a blocking course, and a ball finial that is intricately carved with acanthus leaf decoration. The west wall includes a plain gateway with a cambered arch, while the east wall features an ashlar round-headed archway.
