Description
Hunsett Mill is a draining mill built in 1860 and restored in 1945. It features a tapering four-storey brick tower topped with a timber weatherboarded boat-shaped cap. There is a doorway with a segmental arch on the southwest side. The mill has 20th-century casements that alternate with the original 1860 casements at the cardinal points. The cap, fan cradle, and fantail were added during the 1945 restoration. It has four patent stocks and sails that do not have shutters. Originally, the mill had two external scoop wheels, and while the culverts for these wheels still exist, they have been filled in. The internal floors remain, but there is no machinery present.
