Description
Berry Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century, constructed of brick with some flint, and topped with a roof of black glazed pantiles. The facade features two storeys and is arranged in three bays. There is a central 20th-century door with an overlight, set within an 18th-century timber doorcase. To the left and right of the door are segmental-headed 20th-century casement windows, and there are three more on the first floor under square heads. The building shows evidence of blocked windows and altered openings. The western half of the elevation retains a platband, and the roof is gabled with a bell-based design. Inside, there is an internal stack at the east gable end, which has a square plinth supporting two octagonal flues on roll-moulded bases. The west gable head was rebuilt in the late 20th century. At the south-west corner, there is a stepped buttress with tumbling. A gabled cross wing extends to the rear, also in two storeys, featuring a 20th-century door and casements, along with a ridge stack and a stack at the north gable end.
