Description
The garden walls to Irstead Old Hall date from the 18th century and are constructed of brick. They enclose the original forecourt of the hall. At the west entrance, there are a pair of rusticated piers topped with ashlar coping and finials. The wall extends north and south from these piers and returns to the house, featuring rounded brick coping. The northern section of the wall is shared with the kitchen garden wall to the north, which is also rectangular and has brick coping similar to the main garden wall.
