Description
The garden walls to the north of East Hall are likely from the late 18th century and were part of a former kitchen garden. They are constructed of cobble, lined with orange-red bricks in an English garden wall bond. The walls have a U-shaped plan and stand approximately 3 meters high, topped with flat stone coping. There are occasional pilaster buttresses along the structure. In the center of the north wall, there is a round-arched doorway flanked by pilasters, which is set in a brick panel that projects outward on the outer side. The west side wall features a later gateway with a chamfered stone lintel and quoins on the outer side. The open side of the garden is partly enclosed by a later wall that is not of special interest, as well as a brewery. The garden walls are recognized for their group value.
