Description

SU 92 SE TILLINGTON PETWORTH ROAD 13/4 Sokenholes Farmhouse 18.6.59 - II W Large farmhouse. Dated 1664 with the initials W.M. but parts older in date than this. Stone rubble with ashlar quoins. Tiled roof. Casement windows with moulded stone architraves. Doorway with stone pilasters, triglyph frieze and pediment containing the date and initials. On the north wall is a projecting stone chimney breast with offsets. Two small windows on each side of it with stone architraves and dripmoulds. Two storeys. Five windows. At the back are two projecting wings, one timber framed with red brick infilling and blocked stone doorway, the other probably once a two-storeyed porch with four-light stone-mullioned window on first floor and gable above with round window in it.
