Description
The Parish Church of All Hallows features a chancel with a vestry to the north and a tower to the south, along with a nave that has aisles and a two-storeyed west porch. The nave is from the transitional Norman period, while the chancel dates back to the 13th century. The rest of the church was added or rebuilt in 1807. The tower is notable for its curved buttresses that form a crown, which is unique as it is the only such crown found in any church in Sussex. The first floor of the west porch was originally a family pew for the Egremont family of Petworth House, but it has since been converted into a parish room.
