Description

No. 5, North Street, is an early 19th-century house, now a shop. The front is mathematically tiled with a wooden modillion eaves cornice supporting a plain tiled roof. The building is three storeys high and has a two-window facade, shifted to the left. The second floor has sash windows with glazing bars. The first floor windows are sashes without glazing bars, flanking a painted area displaying the legend 'Est. 1856'. The ground floor has a single shopfront with double half-glazed doors and a transom light to the left.
