Description

A brewery, now used as a warehouse and offices, dating from the early 19th century and built in a neoclassical style. The building is plastered with a band above the ground floor and a cornice to the parapet, concealing the roof. A slight central recess is apparent. It is three storeys high. Windows on the first and second floors are set within double-storey arched recesses, while the ground floor windows are set within segment-headed panels. The second floor has round-arched windows, the first floor has windows with lighter segment heads, and the ground floor features more pronounced segment heads. The windows contain large glazing bars. Double half-glazed doors are centrally located on the ground floor, accessed by five semi-circular steps, and are set within a round-arched surround with an impost block band and a large radiating fanlight. A two-storey painted brick extension is located to the left, featuring a recessed centre and two segment-headed windows on the first floor, above a large round-arched entrance with double garage doors below and an overlight with glazing bars. To the right is a warehouse, projecting forward, plastered to the front and incorporating brick and flint to the sides and rear. The roof has a valley construction with a gabled hoist house in the rear range. There are large extensions to the rear, mostly single-storey in height.
