Brunchmor Brewery, High Street, Gatehouse Of Fleet

Brunchmor Brewery, located on High Street in Gatehouse of Fleet, is a large building dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is built into rising ground, featuring a three-storey brewery to the north and a two-storey house with a basement to the south, with continuous floor levels throughout.

The house is harled with raised painted margins and has a later central timber porch with a door that includes a fanlight. All windows are single light, sash and case, with a 12-pane glazing pattern on the ground floor and a 9-pane pattern on the first floor. The roofs are piended slate, with sandstone ridges, a coped apex stack, and square chimney cans.

The brewery section is constructed of painted brick and rubble and rises three tall storeys. It features large vehicle entrances at ground level, with single light windows above that have mixed glazing. There are blocked hoist doors on the first and second floors. The roof is piended, has sandstone ridges, and is covered with corrugated asbestos.
