Description
Brae Cottage is an early 19th century single-storey cottage with a deep basement located on High Street in Gatehouse of Fleet. The cottage features harled walling with painted raised angle margins. Its front, which faces the street, has three bays and a central doorway that has thick plain raised margins and a door with a fanlight above. On either side of the door are single-light windows, which are sash and case style with 12-pane glazing. The roof is piended and covered with slate, and there are two axial stacks towards the center of the roof, each topped with tall cylindrical harled coped cans.
