Description
66 High Street in Gatehouse of Fleet is a pair of early 19th century, two-storey terraced cottages. They have a smooth rendered finish and a raised base course.
Cottage No 64 features three bays with a central doorway, while No 66 has two bays and a deeply recessed door to the left. Both cottages have single light windows, which may have been enlarged in the mid-19th century. All windows are sash and case with a four-pane glazing pattern and have down-sloping cills. The cottages have a modern central coped brick stack and slate roofs, with end stacks showing tusking that indicates a higher roof pitch.
