Description
62 High Street in Gatehouse of Fleet is a terraced house from the later 18th century, featuring two stories and three bays. The exterior is smooth rendered and lined to resemble ashlar, with polished raised margins.
Access to the central doorway is via two steps, which are complemented by a wrought-iron handrail. The door is modern and partly glazed, topped with a small fanlight.
The ground floor windows have modern aluminium frames with two-pane plate glass, which are not in keeping with the building's character. In contrast, the first floor windows are traditional sash and case style, also with two-pane plate glass. The house is topped with slate roofs and has a coped stack.
