Description
Hambledon House is a house dating from the 18th century, with early and late 19th century extensions. The building features stucco walls with a plinth, while the rear walls are made of flint with brick dressings. The other walls are constructed of brickwork in Flemish Garden Wall bond, with some cambered openings. It has a hipped slate roof, and the later part has a tile roof.
The near-symmetrical north front elevation is two storeys high with five windows, and there is a wing attached to the east end that extends forward, also two storeys high, with one window. The windows are sashes in exposed frames, with those on the ground floor east of the entrance being brought forward. The porch is very simple, featuring a cornice and two square columns, and has a six-panelled door. The other elevations are irregular, mostly featuring sashes.
