Description
The Post Office is a house above a shop, built in the late 18th century with some early 19th-century alterations. The building features brick walls in Flemish bond, with blue header panels positioned between the upper windows. It has a tiled roof with two hipped dormers. The symmetrical north front elevation consists of two storeys and an attic, with three windows, although the centre window is blank. The windows are sashes set in exposed frames, and there is a panelled door that is currently unused. On the east side of the ground floor, there is an early 19th-century shop window, which is a bay of 28 lights with rounded ends supported on brackets, alongside a narrow doorway. This area is topped by a modillion entablature that extends above both doorways.
