Description
A late 18th-century cottage located on Rectory Lane in Itchen Abbas. The building is constructed of rubble, flint, and brick, and has a thatched roof. It is one-and-a-half storeys high, with two bays and a wing projecting to the rear on the right, and an outshot to the left. A central planked door has an inserted window above it and is sheltered by a thatched open timber porch. There are 2-light and 3-light casement windows from the 19th century, and a 2-light leaded casement window from the 18th century. The roof is hipped on the right-hand side with a ridge piece and a stack to the left. This building has group value.
