Description
19 Hylton Road is a late 17th century house, similar in style to No 17. It has two storeys and a high-pitched tiled roof with plaster coving at the eaves. The front is made of painted brick with a string course at the first floor. The windows, which were renewed in the early 19th century, are large recessed sashes featuring delicate glazing bars. The stuccoed lintels of the ground floor windows extend to the first floor cills, interrupting the string course. The door consists of six fielded and beaded panels, topped with a cornice head and a patterned fanlight set in a panelled reveal. It has a reeded architrave and a small hood supported by pairs of cut brackets. At the west end, there is a hipped gable with an attic window beneath a round relieving arch, which may have been a former opening. There is a modern extension to the north.
