Description

Belmont House is a late 17th-century brick house located in Shrewsbury. It is a two-storey building with an attic, featuring a five-window front. The windows on the ground floor are irregularly spaced, with a central doorway flanked by two windows. The front door is a six-panelled door with interlaced tracery to the overlight, enclosed within a simple pedimented case. All windows are 12-pane flush-framed sashes with flat-arched, finely gauged brick heads. There are two pedimented gabled dormers in the attic. The house has a deep eaves cornice with modillions, and string courses at each floor level. Side wall stacks are present. The interior retains original panelling, fireplaces, and a staircase.
