Description
This barn, located 40 metres south of Whitewool Farmhouse, dates back to 1781. It features a timber frame consisting of seven bays, with aisles along the long sides. There are entrances located at the second and fifth bays. The structure includes queen post trusses, which are supported by splayed struts and arched braces. The walls are constructed from a combination of boarding, flint, and brickwork. The roof is thatched and has a half-hipped design, with hipped sections above the waggon entrances and tiled valleys. A tie beam within the barn is dated.
