Description

This milestone, located 800 metres southwest of Conksbury Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century. It is made of stone and features a slab with slightly splayed sides and a saddleback top. The east side is inscribed with "To Ashbourne 13 Miles," while the west side reads "To/Miles/Bakewell 2/?", although other names have become too worn to be legible.
