Description
Thimble Hall is a cottage that likely dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, which has been whitewashed on the front facade. The roof is made of stone slate and features a stone gable end stack on the north side. The building has two storeys and consists of a single bay. There is a plank door located under a thin stone hood on the south side, and a 20th-century window in a flush surround on the north side. Above the door, there is a central single light window. Inside, the cottage has a crude stone fireplace and a ladder leading to the first floor. Thimble Hall is also noted for its historical interest and is included for its group value.
