Description
The garden wall and gate piers at Butts Cottage and Woodside Cottage were built in the early 19th century. They are made of limestone rubble and feature gritstone copings and piers. Each house has a pair of gate piers that are rectangular in shape with rounded tops, connected by a curved wall that stands approximately 1.7 meters high, topped with rounded copings. The wall continues to the left but is overgrown. To the right of the gateway at Butts Cottage, there is a short section of wall measuring about 2.5 meters. This structure is part of a group that includes Butts Cottage and Woodside Cottage.
