Description

The guidestone, dated 1709, is located on Edensor Lane in the parish of Edensor. It is made of sandstone and has a square plan. The east side is inscribed with "Sheffield Rode," the north side with "Bakewell Rode 1709," and the south side with "Chesterfield Rode." Each inscription features a hand and pointing finger indicating the direction.
