Description
Moor View is a house built around 1912, possibly designed by Romaine-Walker, in the Arts and Crafts style. It is constructed from small blocks of coursed squared sandstone and ashlar, topped with a plain tile hipped and gabled roof featuring two brick ridge stacks and one stack just off the ridge.
The house has two storeys and a south elevation that consists of five bays, with the central bay being gabled and advanced. The outer bays are also gabled. There is an off-centre flat-roofed porch that has a panelled door. To the right of the porch are two three-light casements, one larger than the other. To the left, there are two four-light casements and one three-light casement. On the first floor, a three-light casement is located in the centre, flanked by a four-light casement on one side and a three-light casement on the other. The central gable features a rectangular breather, while the outer gables have decorative stone lozenge panels made up of four small lozenges each.
This building is included in the register for its group value.
