Description

Dunsa Kennel Cottages and attached outbuildings are a range of three cottages, now two, along with farm buildings, dating from the early 19th century. The structure is built of coursed squared sandstone and ashlar, topped with a stone slate roof and features stone coped gables with plain kneelers. There are two ashlar ridge stacks and a gable stack, and the building stands two storeys high with angle quoins.

The east elevation consists of six bays. On the ground floor, from left to right, there is a 2-light casement window set in a former doorway, a glazing bar sash in a plain stone surround, a doorway with quoins and lintel leading to a plank door with overlight, another glazing bar sash in a plain stone surround, a glazing bar sash set in a former doorway with quoins and lintel, and a final glazing bar sash in a plain stone surround. The upper floor features six glazing bar sashes, all in plain stone surrounds.

At the rear, there is a long range of former cart sheds, which now have all entrances filled in. There is also a two-storey return range with gable stacks, and the west elevation includes two flat-arched keyed cart entrances and two doorways, one of which has been converted into a window. Above, there are four windows and a doorway.
