Description

This is a milepost located 20 yards to the northeast of Perryfoot Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of hollow cast iron and has a triangular shape with a dished top. The northeast face of the post displays the distances to Sheffield (20 miles), Hathersage (10 miles), and Castleton (4 miles). The southwest face indicates that Sparrowpit is 1 mile away.
