Description
This is a milepost dating from the early 19th century, made of cast iron. It has a triangular shape with the upper part cut away in a concave curve. The milepost is inscribed with the distances to various locations: Chapel en le Frith (5 miles), Sparrowpit (4 miles), Sheffield (17 miles), and Hathersage (7 miles).
