Description

This milestone, located approximately 150 metres east of the Dog and Partridge Public House, dates from the early 19th century. It is a stone post with a slightly rounded top. The milestone features well-crafted incised letters that indicate the distances to Barnsley, which is 12 miles away, and Manchester, which is 24 miles away.
