ALSTONEFIELD C.P. LODE LANE (South side) Lode Close and attached Outbuilding.

Farmhouse and attached agricultural building. Remodelled mid-Cl9 but incorporating some earlier fabric. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings; clay tile roof with coped verges; coursed and squared rubble integral end stacks. House to East and slightly recessed attached agricultural building to West. House: 2 storeys and gable lit attic; 2 windows, glazing bar sashes in raised surrounds; central door with straight dripstone. Agricultural building: Loft opening to right; loft ventilation loop to left. Rear (West) Elevation: House: Slightly irregular fenestration; ground floor windows to left and right; first floor windows to left of centre and right, glazing bar sashes, those to right have straight dripstones. Limestone quoins to right, centre, and lower part of left hand corner suggest that an earlier single cell building was extended to the South and rebuilt in the mid C19, using grit stone quoins and dressings. Agricultural building: Blocked door to ground floor left; loft ventilation loop to right.
