Description
Moor View, formerly known as Rose Cottage, is an 18th-century cottage located in the parish of Edensor, Calton Lees. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings, topped by a Welsh slate roof and featuring brick gable stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and has a double fronted east elevation, which includes a continuous ground floor sill band. The central doorway is framed by stone jambs and a lintel, topped with a bracketed stone hood. The entrance features a half glazed plank door and is flanked by two 2-light square section flush mullion windows. Above, there are two similar 2-light windows. To the left, there is a lower bay that includes a doorway with a plank door.
