Description

The Baptist Manse, formerly known as Rose Cottage, is a whitewashed brick house dating from the late 18th century. It features a slate roof with gabled ends and stands two storeys tall with three windows. The house has 19th-century window designs, including first-floor casements with glazing bars and ground-floor French windows that have margin panes, along with a central doorway. An early 19th-century decorative wooden verandah has been added to the ground floor, which includes a tented roof and openwork sunburst spandrels. There are brick end stacks and 19th-century extensions at the rear.
