Description
Numbers 8, 9, 10, and 11 in Chenies are a group of estate cottages built in 1867 by the Bedford Estate. They are constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with some black headers, and feature a tiled roof with six pairs of brick chimneystacks set diagonally. The cottages have an L-shaped plan and are two stories high, with four windows on the front and three on the right side elevation. The front facade includes three gables, with the central gable displaying a plaque that indicates the date 1867 and the letter B. The two central windows are 20th-century in earlier frames, while the other windows are 19th-century casements. There is a canted bay on the ground floor at the right side and a gabled porch on the left. The L-wing has two gables and additional gabled porches.
