Description
This is a range of farm buildings dating from the mid to late 18th century, located approximately 5 metres east of West House. The buildings are constructed from different materials and have been altered over time. The pigsty block is made of rubblestone brought to course, while the cowhouse block features coursed squared herringbone-tooled stone. Both sections have pantile roofs with stone copings and ridges.
The pigsty on the left is a single-storey structure with two bays, and it has loose boxes behind in an added rear outshut. On the right, the cowhouse breaks forward and consists of three bays with a loft above. There is a lean-to that was formerly a privy against the right return.
The pigsty has paired stable doors, and a trough chute on the right is set below steps leading up to a gable loft door. The cowhouse has a central stable door with a small slatted opening to the right and a later window in what is likely an enlarged opening on the left. There is an eaves band on the cowhouse and block kneelers present.
The pigsty block includes a trough chute on the left return, a stable door to the outshut, and another stable door at the rear. The former privy has a board door at the rear.
