Description
This is a garage range located approximately 15 metres to the north-west of Raventhorpe Mill. It is a barn and stable with a loft above, dating from the mid-18th century, with some alterations. The structure is built from coursed, squared, herringbone-tooled stone and features a pantile roof. It is a single storey with a loft over the right-hand bay, consisting of three bays, with the right bay being lower. There is a plinth, and a 20th-century sliding garage door on the left, along with a boarded stable door beneath a stone lintel, which has an iron strap to its right. The building has shaped kneelers and ashlar coping. On the right return, there is a boarded stable door and an 8-pane fixed window under a timber lintel, as well as a low boarded door with a timber lintel in the gable. This building is included for its group value.
