Description

This is a mile post located 520 metres west of Low Flask Farm, dating from the late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular plan with a forward-sloping triangular top. The left face of the post displays "SCARBRO 13," while the right face shows "WHITBY 8." There are relief trees above each inscription, and the top panel features "WHITBY STRAND HD." The mile post is painted white, with the lettering and design highlighted in black.
