Description
This is a mile post located approximately 320 meters northeast of Wragby, dating from the late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a triangular shape with a forward-sloping triangular top. The left face of the mile post displays the distance to Scarborough as 12 miles, while the right face shows the distance to Whitby as 9 miles. There are relief pointing hands above each distance, and the top panel reads "Whitby Strand HD." The mile post is painted white, with the lettering and design highlighted in black.
