Description

EGTON BARNARD'S ROAD NZ8005-8105 (south side) 16/4 Beckside Farmhouse and attached outbuilding - II Farmhouse and outbuilding. Early C19. Whitewashed rubble sandstone with herringbone-tooled quoins; slate roof to house and pantile roof to outbuilding. 2-storey, 3-window front, with 1-storey, 1-window outbuilding at right. 4-panel house door, beneath overlight, flanked by 16-pane sashes. 12-pane first floor centre window between 16-pane sashes. Painted stone sills to all windows and painted wedge lintels to all openings. Coped gables and shaped kneelers. End corniced stacks. Outbuilding has 2-light, large-pane horizontal sliding sash. Coped right gable and end stack. Rear: 16-pane sashes. Single storey outshut with pent roof. Board door to outbuilding.
