Description
Dalton's Cottage is a house built in the early 19th century, with later extensions added in the 19th century. It is constructed from tooled sandstone and features a slate roof, with part of the extension made from rock-faced sandstone. The house has a central-entry plan, with a service extension at the left rear. It is two stories high and has a two-window front. The entrance includes a six-panel door with two glazed lights, framed by an architrave. The windows are 16-pane sashes with stone sills, and all openings have tooled lintels. There is a raised eaves course, coped gables, and block kneelers, along with end corniced stacks. On the left side, the extension has four-pane sashes. At the time of the resurvey, the property was under a Closing Order.
