Description

This is a 16th-century cottage, later altered in the 18th and 20th centuries and now divided into two dwellings. It is timber-framed with painted brick infill and has a thatched roof. Originally a three-bay and smoke-bay structure, a bay was added in the 18th century. The front elevation features a left-hand addition, a smoke bay positioned between the right-hand and central bays, with a half-glazed door in the smoke bay and a plank door to the left of the central bay. There are two-light casement windows in each bay, with a two-light eyebrow dormer over the centre and original left-hand bay. The 18th-century added bay is blank. The roof is half-hipped to the right. A ridge stack sits over the smoke bay, while another stack is located at the right-hand end.
