Description
Merryweather Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates back to 1704, as indicated by a tablet on the building, and underwent alterations in the 19th century. The structure is made of painted brick and features a slate roof. It has an L-shaped design with a four-bay front and a two-bay wing, standing two stories tall.
The front of the farmhouse includes a right-hand side 19th-century gabled porch with a rendered arch over the door. Each bay on the ground floor has 12-pane flush-frame sash windows, while the first floor features three-light casements, with the window above the door being a painted blind opening. All openings are adorned with rendered Gibbs style arches that have raised keystones. The roof is hipped with overhanging eaves, and there is a large ridge stack located above the door. The tablet is positioned on the right-hand end of the building.
