Description
The claire-voie wall and gates located beyond the canal, south of Rhinefield House Hotel, date from the early 1900s and are likely the work of architect W.H. Romaine-Walker. The structure features bath stone dressings and squared Purbeck stone. It includes stone piers with ball finials on either side of the double wrought-iron gates, which are topped with an overthrow. Each side of the gates ramps down to a low quadrant wall that is surmounted by ornate railings.
