9/8 Claire-voie wall and gates beyond canal, south 28.7.86 of Rhinefield House Hotel

GV II

Flanking walls and gates forming claire-voie at end of canal. Early 1900s probably by WH Romaine-Walker. Bath stone dressings,squared Purbeck stone, wrought-iron gates. Stone piers with ball-finials either side of double wrought-iron gates with overthrow. Each side ramps down to low quadrant wall surmounted by ornate railings.
