Description

This is a 17th-century barn located 5 meters east of Gorley Green Cottage in South Gorley. It stands on an ironstone and brick plinth and features a timber-frame structure that is weatherboarded, topped with a thatched roof. The barn has three main bays, with additional hip-bays added at both ends. The front of the barn includes central double doors, and the left-hand hip-bay projects forward and is open-fronted, serving as a cartshed. The roof is hipped and sweeps forward towards the left-hand bay. Inside, there is a queen-post roof supported by curved windbraces.
