Description

This barn, dating from the 17th century, is located approximately 25 meters east of Great Gorwood Farmhouse, which is not included in the listing. It is constructed of cob on a tall stone plinth and features a gabled and half-hipped roof made of corrugated iron. The barn has a five-bay plan with a central threshing floor. On either side of the central bay, there are 19th-century plank double doors with strap hinges. Inside, the barn has five A-frame trusses with collars that are halved and pegged over the principals, and the ridge piece is set in halved and crossed apexes.
