Description
Courtices is a building that was originally two cottages, now serving as a house. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The structure is made of coursed slatestone rubble, with cob on the gable ends and below the eaves. It features a gabled thatch roof and has stone external end stacks that are finished in late 18th to early 19th century brick, as well as late 19th century brick. The building has a 2-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a two-window range. There are timber lintels over a blocked door and a 20th-century door located in the center. To the right, there are timber lintels over a 20th-century casement window and late 19th century two-light casements with glazing bars. A 19th century outshut is located to the left, and there is a 20th-century extension at the rear. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
