Description
The Bell Inn is a public house that originated as a house in the 17th century. It features colourwashed render over cob and stone, with a gabled thatched roof. There are external end stacks made of rendered stone, finished in 19th-century brick, as well as a stone ridge stack. The building has a three-unit plan with a through-passage to the right of the central hall and a continuous rear outshut. It stands two storeys tall and has a four-window range. There are two late 19th-century porches with 20th-century doors, and flat rendered arches above 20th-century two-light casements. Inside, the ground floor has 17th-century joists, while the first floor has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
