Description
Little Bocombe is a house dating from the 18th century, with the main part rebuilt around 1860. It features a colourwashed exterior over coursed slatestone rubble and has gabled thatch roofs, with mid-19th century brick ridge and end stacks, and a large stone stack at the right end. The house has a double-depth plan, consisting of two ranges: the main range is two-storey with three windows on the right, while the lower range to the left is two-storey with one window. The main range includes 20th-century French windows in the doorway and a two-light casement with glazing bars at the center. A lean-to roof extends over a bay window in the right-hand bay, and there are flat rendered arches above mid-19th century horned 16-pane sash windows. The lower one-bay range to the left has timber lintels over mid to late 19th century two-light casements with glazing bars. Although an interior inspection was not possible, it is likely to be of interest.
